In today’s article, we want to tell you about the ferry from Naples to Favignana, including prices, schedules, and various tickets available online. First, however, let’s talk about the beautiful city of Naples. Given its extreme beauty, it is impossible to describe Naples in a few words or to encapsulate it in a list of “things to do.”
Centuries of history and diverse cultures have endowed this Neapolitan capital with an endless array of places to visit, foods to try, and vistas to fall in love with. To give an idea to those visiting Naples for the first time, here are some examples.
For sea lovers, we recommend visiting the Posillipo waterfront for a long walk and a picturesque sunset aperitif, or Castel dell’Ovo with the Borgo Marinari of Naples and its waterfront. Art enthusiasts should not miss the Veiled Christ in the Cappella Sansevero, now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
To get an idea of the city’s structure, we can mention iconic places such as Spaccanapoli, with its Royal Palace and the Maschio Angioino, now the seat of the Civic Museum, a castle under the Angevin rule that hosted great artists like Giotto and Petrarch.
What are the prices and schedules for the Naples to Favignana ferry?
Regarding the Port of Naples, it is located in the heart of the city, just 15 km from the International Airport of Capodichino, connected by a shuttle bus service. Both the train station and the nearest highway exit are just a few minutes away, making it easy to reach the rest of the city and various local attractions.
Given the daily traffic, which hosts about 7,000 passengers a year, the port is divided into various zones: we have the Angiolino pier, Beverello pier, Mergellina pier, Calata Porta Massa, Immacolatella Vecchia pier, and Calata Piliero pier. At the Beverello pier, you will find fast ships (hydrofoils) operated by Caremar, Alilauro, Snav, Liberty Lines, and Positano Jet, with access allowed only to pedestrians.
The Mergellina pier, about 20 minutes from Beverello, has a similar function, with hydrofoils operated by Alilauro, Snav, and Liberty Lines. At Calata Porta Massa, you will find ferries operated by Medmar, Grandi Navi Veloci, Tirrenia, and Siremar. Interestingly, since 2007, the new Maritime Station provides access to all necessary and useful services for your wait (from ticket offices, shops, banks, and pharmacies to refreshment points and bars). Calata Porta Massa has both an entrance for pedestrians and a vehicle entrance.
Going straight to the point, there is currently no direct ferry from Naples to Favignana. However, Naples is well connected to Sicily by ferry, so we suggest alternative routes to reach the beautiful island from Campania. For example, the ferry from Naples to Palermo allows you to reach Sicily in about 9-11 hours.
A similar route is the ferry from Naples to Palermo Termini Imerese, located about 40 km outside Palermo. From these areas, you can reach Trapani by car or train and then take the ferry from Trapani to Favignana.
