Scopello is an Italian coastal locality and a hamlet of the well-known Sicilian municipality of Castellammare del Golfo in the province of Trapani. It is particularly famous for its sea stacks and its “baglio” (a traditional Sicilian farmhouse). The village has around 118 residents and has developed around an ancient baglio, located just over 10 km from the municipal capital.
Nearby is the famous Zingaro Nature Reserve and the sea stacks, with the adjacent tuna fishery. A short distance from the baglio is Guidaloca, a bay bordered by “Pizzo della Gnacara” and “Puntazza.” Inside, there is a large, arch-shaped beach made entirely of pebbles, about 400 meters long.
On the west side of the cove, there is a cylindrical tower dating back to the 16th century, guarding that specific stretch of coast. The Scopello tuna fishery is one of the most important and oldest in all of Sicily, with the first buildings dating back to the 13th century.

Firstly, the most economical way to travel from Scopello to Trapani is by bus, which costs about 10 euros and takes only 55/65 minutes. As for the quickest option, it is definitely by taxi, which will take you to your destination in just 37 minutes for a fare of around 55 euros.
Additionally, from Trapani-Birgi Airport, Scopello is only 66 km away, and from here, you can choose to take a taxi or the shuttle service provided directly by the airport, which is a more economical yet equally convenient solution.
It is important to note, however, that there is no direct connection between Palermo Airport and Scopello, so you will need to make some transfers.
